Inspired to start a wedding planning and design company for couples dreaming of a Colorado wedding, owner Melanie Rendleman left the corporate world in 2014 to launch Rocky Mountain Wed. After more than 15 years as a corporate event planner, she decided to work one-on-one with couples, building personal connections and helping them navigate their big day with minimal stress. With a unique understanding of destination weddings, Melanie set out to redefine the planning and design experience, aiming to make the process just as enjoyable as the celebration itself.

Melanie's approach to any event big or small includes thoughtfulness, kindness, calmness, and most importantly fun.  She wants her couples to enjoy the day with minimal effort and stress on their part and to be present in the moments that are so special and precious on their wedding day.

Melanie earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois and her master’s from Colorado State University. She divides her time between Denver and Durango, Colorado, where she lives with her husband and their three beloved fur babies.

In her spare time Melanie enjoys keeping up with wedding trends, gardening and spending hours playing fetch with her three doggies: Sophie, Raven and Bailey.
