Inspired to start an event planning and design company for adventurous couples dreaming of a Colorado destination wedding, owner Melanie Rendleman left the corporate world in 2014 to launch Rocky Mountain Wed. After more than 15 years as a corporate event planner, she decided to work one-on-one with couples, building personal connections and helping them navigate their big day with minimal stress. With a unique understanding of destination weddings, Melanie set out to redefine the planning and design experience, aiming to make the process just as enjoyable as the celebration itself.

Melanie earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois and her master’s from Colorado State University. She divides her time between Denver and Fraser, Colorado, where she lives with her husband and their three beloved fur babies.

In addition to her planning services, Melanie has a true entrepreneurial spirit and runs a sister company, WoodStem Floral. WoodStem offers fresh flowers for all kinds of events and works closely with couples who choose to book both planning and floral services with her. 

 

In her spare time Melanie enjoys keeping up with wedding trends, gardening and spending hours playing fetch with her three doggies: Sophie, Raven and Bailey.
